“I noted the modern interiors within a building recognized for its historical value; plus, I saw that flexible check-in options and an on-site restaurant could be a plus. However, reports of cleanliness issues and unresponsive service raise serious concerns. Proceed with caution, assessing if the benefits outweigh the apparent drawbacks.”

convenient stay

central location helpful receptionist excellent staff
The location suited my needs perfectly, being close to the town centre. the night receptionist was helpful. He even carried my bike up to my room after my accident.. i appreciated that. the staff offered excellent service overall .
i did find the lack of drawers or storage space in the room a bit inconvenient for clothes. there was only a hanging rail available, which wasn't quite sufficient for my needs.
Rooms
8/10
the double room featured a comfortable bed with clean linens and fresh towels available daily, alongside a standard shower with good water pressure. a kettle was provided with tea and coffee, and the room temperature was easily adjustable with the provided thermostat.

adequate stay

helpful receptionist late arrival bike assistance locked doors spiral staircase poor paintwork
the night receptionist, he's a star. i arrived late, like really late, around 9:30 pm and i was super injured from a cycling accident. he helped me so much with my bike, he carried it upstairs to my room, i was so happy about this. he also checked if i was okay before he left me, it meant a lot.
when i arrived, the front doors were locked. the manager needed to unlock them just to let me in, this was a bit inconvenient. i had to drag my suitcase up three sets of stairs. one staircase was this crazy spiral staircase, i almost tripped! the paint job was not good. i saw purple and yellow and red , made the place gloomy.
